The 3-inch hex shape lays into a tight geometric pattern that brings movement and texture to floors and walls, and it is a long-standing favorite for shower floors, niche backs, accent strips, and full feature walls. The matte finish meets a wet DCOF of 0.42 for level interior floors and, in mosaic format, also meets 0.42 for residential and light-commercial shower floors — making this hex eligible for specification inside the shower curb. Water absorption is under 0.5% (ASTM C373), breaking strength exceeds 275 lbs (ASTM C648), MOHS scratch hardness is 8.0, and chemical resistance meets ASTM C650.
